**Your Identity Will Make or Break Your 2025**
I sat in my car after another foreclosure notice…
My business was failing. My marriage was strained. And I kept asking myself the same question over and over: “Why do some people crush it in real estate while others like me keep struggling?”
The answer had nothing to do with better scripts or marketing channels.
It was identity.
## The Problem Isn’t Your Strategy
Here’s what I’ve learned after 16 years in this game… Most people don’t fail at real estate. They quit way too early and label it as failure.
You can give two people the exact same wholesaling system. One makes six figures. The other barely gets a deal done.
The difference? Their mindset.
Tony Robbins nailed it: “It’s 80% mental, 20% technical.” But we spend 80% of our time on the technical stuff and 20% on what actually matters.
Your results will never outgrow your identity. If you see yourself as someone who “tries” real estate… you’re already setting yourself up to quit without guilt.
## Stop Trying. Start Being.
Words matter more than you think.
When someone asks what you do, don’t say “I’m trying real estate” or “I’m learning to invest.” You ARE a real estate investor. Period.
The confidence doesn’t come before the action. It comes FROM the action.
I used to wait until I felt ready before making calls. That’s perfectionism dressed up as preparation. And perfectionism will kill your business faster than any market crash.
## Five Identity Shifts That Changed Everything
**1. From Trying to Being**
You don’t “try” real estate. You ARE a real estate investor. Start talking like one. Start showing up like one.
**2. Failure is Feedback**
Every action leads to two outcomes: it makes you money or makes you better. Both are wins. Stop seeing rejection as failure… start seeing it as data.
**3. Imperfect Action Beats Perfect Planning**
Most deals are messy. Every single one teaches you something new. The first deal is tough because you’re learning. The tenth deal is profitable because you’ve learned.
**4. Proximity is Power**
Your income will never outgrow your environment. Get around other investors. Go to the local REIAs. Join communities. Pride is expensive… coaching is cheap compared to the mistakes you’ll avoid.
**5. Stack Daily Wins**
Wealthy people attach confidence to execution. Making one call is a win. Following up with a lead is a win. Learning something new is a win. Confidence isn’t built by big wins… it’s built by showing up small every single day.
## Your 2025 Action Plan
Three things to do right now:
**Pick a strong identity statement.** Write it down. “I am a real estate investor.” Say it until you believe it.
**Choose one imperfect action for this week.** Stop waiting for perfect conditions. The market doesn’t care about your fears.
**Upgrade your environment.** Limit time with negative people. Spend more time around investors who are where you want to be.
Look… you don’t need permission to succeed. You don’t need perfection either.
What you need is alignment between who you say you are and what you do daily.
Most people make New Year’s resolutions and quit by February. Don’t be most people.
If you want 2025 to be different… it won’t happen because you learned more. It’ll happen because you became someone new.
